Figured it was about time I made one of these. On offense, I mainly focus on the run, with the occasional panic-toss short to keep everyone honest. I usually run a nickel defense, with Davis as my user. I'm running an unholy cross between a Zero Chill and Legends theme team, so my OVRs are a bit boosted.
Any big weak points stick out? I seem to have trouble stopping the run, but that might be a skill issue on my end.
For stopping the run put inside stuff on Ur defensive tackles. Not sure what else you could do maybe o line? Idk
Inside stuff isn't as good as it was last year, if you are having trouble stopping the run, you will need to learn to switch out of nickel coverage and get into more of a base D whether that is 4-3, 3-4 or 44 split.
Myself, I like stopping the run out of BNoG or if they're really run heavy, 44 split. That usually does the trick to keep them honest and get them out of their gameplan to where you can go back to Nickel.
Basically, pay attention to the number of WRs, if it is 3 or more, Nickel should be fine but you need to adjust your line and sub lbs based on what they're doing, i.e. shift your line on side to the other or pinch/spread and crash accordingly. You also want to learn to shoot the gaps and know what your gap assignment is, a lot of times the CPU covers their gaps but if you move your user out of their assignment, you create a large running lane for the opponent to take advantage of, hit up practice mode and work on this.
If they come out in 1 or 2 receiver sets, you are good to use a base defense to stop the run if you can't do it with Nickel, just keep in mind you have more lbs on the field so you want to be ready for a pass if they try to take advantage. I switch down if I know they are heavy run.

You’re a lifesaver, man, this is some solid advice. I’m set up better for a 4-3, and I’ve had luck with it in older Maddens. I just need to follow these tips and get better at reading defenses.
