Y’all think caleb Williams will be a bust?
I hope the chargers don’t trade their pick to Minnesota and draft brock bowers or possibly marvin harrison jr
If a mod is seeing this will you talk about the draft with me
I do think Caleb Williams will be a bust, or at least underperform expectations. First off, I've never been high on PAC-12 players. Second, Caleb Williams specifically is a big play merchant, and that will not translate consistently to the NFL. Again, the PAC-12 competition. Caleb Williams played in a conference with some of the worst defenses in the Power 5. He will not have that same talent advantage over NFL defenders. In order for him to succeed, he will have to place the ego aside and work on playing on schedule.
I like Drake Maye and Jayden Daniels much better as prospects. Bigger, more prototypical quarterbacks are usually more likely to succeed right out of the gate, and Drake Maye appears to be sneakily athletic too. Daniels is probably most likely to "carry" his team out of the gate. Since he's likely going to the Patriots, without a ton of weapons, he will be the focal point of their offensive scheme. I wouldn't be surprised if the Pats try a more run-heavy scheme, trying to work Daniels into a system much like what Lamar Jackson did in his first seasons.
If i were the bears i would pick drake maye
Jj carthy is mac jones if he went to Michigan he just got lucky enough to be on a championship team
Caleb williams is ruining his own caree before it started
Thats why people like drake maye,Jayden daniels,bo nix or micheal penix jr are the one to go with
I cant confirm penix is in the draft tho
I think Caleb Williams is going to pull an Eli Manning with the Bears, and end up being too toxic for anyone to want him and he ends up having a really short career
I think that the bears should play it safe and draft Caleb Williams and just in case of injury or badness Justin Feilds will still be backup
