I have two hot takes.
1. Drake Maye will have the best career out of all qbs in this draft.
2. Michael Penix Jr( given he starts) will win offensive rookie of the year.

I think Drake Maye could end up similar to Josh Allen in terms of quarterback style and success. He will need development though, so best case scenario he falls to the Vikings. I also like Penix Jr. as a prospect, but I don't think he will be given the opportunity to start year one, or at least not right away.
I'm intrigued by FSU WR Johnny Wilson, mostly because of his physicals. Not the fastest guy with a 4.5 40 yard dash, but considering his size (somewhere between 6'6 and 6'7 and weighing 230 lbs) I think a GM could take a chance on him.
Obviously Collin Johnson is similar in build and not very effective in the NFL, but he's also a lot slower with a 4.65. Wilson could be a matchup nightmare with the right coaching.
Hot take. Joe Milton is the most high potential QB this year. His arm strength is unmatched by anyone, and if he could fix the accuracy issues, he could be a legit NFL starter.

High potential, but I don't think he's likely to reach it for a while. I've just heard way too many bad reports about him. Yes, arm strength through the roof but even his receivers at Tennessee said that they had to adjust their drills just to catch his passes. I don't think that speaks well of his non-physical attributes, as it seems to suggest that despite having spent extra years in college (he's 24 btw) he has yet to fix accuracy issues and cannot put the right amount of touch on the ball.
In short, high velocity in the wrong direction doesn't bode well, and his age doesn't help. Granted, you did say if he could fix the accuracy issues, but considering he spent five-six years in college and hasn't done it yet, I'm not hopeful.

Im not super hopeful either. The right coach could fix him. But the guys that could, dont need a qb (Reid, Shanahan)

I think that's the problem with a lot of QB prospects this year. They're rough around the edges, and the guys who could refine their skills already have a good QB. There's just not a lot of great quarterback developers out there.
Hot take, Penix will have an injury ridden career and be a bust.

If he gets taken in the first round, it's likely. My guess though is that he won't make it into the first round and instead will be a developmental pick by a better-established team in a later round. I've heard connections to Pittsburgh, but they're already experimenting with Justin Fields so I wouldn't add another young QB into the mix. He could be a good fit with the Seahawks, be mentored by Geno Smith and undergo NFL conditioning during that time.

Plus Russel Wilson is in Pittsburg. The Seahawks did trade for Sam Howell though who is really young and has shown potential. The reason Penix hasn't been talked about going earlier is because of injuries in college.

I heard this quote about him, i think it went like
if you want joe milton to throw the ball 80 yards, he will throw the ball 80 yards.
if you want joe milton to throw the ball 10 yards, he will throw the ball 80 yards.
I personally think his accuracy issues cant really be fixed enough to be a star in the NFL.
(Although these are hot takes ig so wtvr)

I mostly agree with you. Although I will say Milton is the definition of Diamond in the Rough. Milyon has all the physical tools, and quite honestly, plays a lot like Josh Allen. Milton can fix the accuracy, its just a matter of is the right coach willing to take a shot on him.
Whichever QB the patriots take will have the worst start to a career in NFL history
