Justin Fields to Steelers????????

I thought they already got Russel Wilson......

What do you guys think about this?

It seems they want to try the ”Jordan Love Strategy” with Fields. Apparently he will not be competing for the starting job, and will learn under Wilson. It’s a bit late in Fields’s career to try this, but it could work.

he is literally only 25……how is it late in his career?

Well considering he's been a starter for a few years he's not nearly as impressionable as Jordan Love would have been coming into Green Bay under Rodgers. 

Also considering he's a dual threat quarterback (and was a heavily used one in Chicago) his longevity is a bit less than a traditional pocket passer. I get what you're saying, he's still young, but it's not the same as if the Steelers had drafted him to sit behind Wilson.

hell, look at geno smith….he had bust planted on his career for like first 9 years then has the “resurrection” with seattle

just gotta get a qb in the right situation and never know what they will do

True. I think Pittsburgh is hoping it won't take as long as it did with Geno for Fields to take over. 

I do think this is a good situation for Fields and hopefully he'll spend his time trying to polish his passing.

yeah, im hoping if russ struggles they just let fields loose and play his game that he is comfortable with

The Steelers didn't have anybody to backup russ so they got fields to

I think fields should start over russ hes good but fields just needs a good team so i think he will do good
