ok so i don't know a bunch about the nba, but i did not know that they traded picks in 2029!!
That’ll be an interesting backcourt to deal with. Any of them can hit 50 and/or takeover a game at any point. 2 of the toughest people to guard in the league.

mavs also got markieff morris. its a risky deal for the mavs bc if kyrie dont like dallas he could easily demand a trade next year

Luka is probably in his prime right now. They really didn't need Kyrie, especially if he's going to have a lot of off-court drama. It will be interesting to see how it all plays out though.

Luka is imo not quite in his prime yet and is just starting to get into it. and they rlly did need kyrie. luka is leading his team in just abt every stat except for blocks which he is tied for 3rd on the team in. kyrie is going to help the mavs temendously due to the fact that they now have another star they can count on when Luka isnt playing

I think both sides get a little in return, i think if kyrie had a long term deal the nets could've gotten more due to the fact hes scoring i think around 27 a game which is elite, i think the deal went fast due to the fact that the Lakers wanted him and they wanted to get him out before the Lakers could dump cap and offer enough, i think the mas won the trade for now but depending on how he plays it could be a bad thing, we've seen two really good scorers together before (kyrie and KD most recent) and it works out sometimes but we can also see they seem to be better alone, i think it could be an amazing thing if off court stuff gets pushed aside and they just let him hoop, but with the way luka plays they could callide and cause problems and results in very few post season wins, as in i think they will beat about any team just not in the playoffs.
Dallas Mavericks are probably one of the few teams in the NBA that can deal with all of the drama that Irving will bring, so good luck to them.

i think the mavs are so finals thirsty that they wont care at all abt what happens off court. and in terms of the way they play and possible problems. i dont see any quite frankly. Luka can either drop a 40 point triple double with kyrie not scoring a ton or hell drop a 30 point triple double with kyrie dropping 30+ as well. Luka isnt new to passing the ball. Nor is he a ball hog. the only stat you may see decrease from him post-kyrie trade is his pts per game yet his assists will go up with another high caliber scorer on his team. could potentially see the 2nd player in the nba so far to be averaging a triple double for the season (Jokic is the other)

They absolutely needed Kyrie Luka had legit no help now he finally does
Dumb trade, there's not enough ball to go around between Luka and Kyrie and they didm't need Kyrie's drama
Big nets fan here, Im happy with the trade. I dont know how the Mavs are going to deal with the two most ball dominant guards in the league. The nets already tried that with Harden and Kyree and you know how it ended. Now with the sixers, Hardens kind of switched his role to 3 point shooter primarily and has been doing great.
I loved how dinwidee played before he got traded. Believe or not, their team with D Lo, Jarrett Allen, Joe Harris, and dinwidee as the sixth man was my favorite nets team to watch. If I remember correctly Finney-Smith has an awful contract, but the nets have essentially no payroll now so it’s fine.
I miss the old nets with a whole depth chart of role players that played the game the right way. I’m glad theyre done with the big three and no depth. No more drama, and Kyree is a jerk.
