Realistically, every one of these guys plays such a different position it is hard to make a case that one is the GOAT over the others. Maybe if you relegated the question to certain positions it would be better?

I was mostly wondering who people thought was the best athlete of all time, it doesn't have to be based on achievements. If it makes more sense to everyone to just have position All-Time polls I delete this and put those up
The goat, Tom Brady

Crap, I forgot about him!
If it's the best player in NFL history, then it's Jerry Rice. If it's the best Madden player, then it's like 94' Michael Vick. Might be a different year, but he was stupid OP one year.

Best in NFL history. Michael Vick is a good option tho
Joe Montana. QB's from the last 20 years have had so many advantages over the QB's of the 80/90's. The rules they put in place to protect QB's to protect WR's and just players in general had had a huge impact on the amount of passing offense. Prior to the early 80's when Fouts threw for 4800 and Marino threw for 5000 yards, this was an amazing feet. No one had really come even close to these #'s. The highest prior was 3700's in '68. Marino's record lasted until 2008 when Brees became the 2nd person to eclipse the 5000 yard mark for a single season. Since that time 12 more QB's went on to throw for more than 5000 yards and more than 30 times, QB's have eclipsed Dan Fout's second place #.
I would have to pick Joe Montana. This is mainly because I am a niners fan but he also has 2nd most super bowl wins and helped develop the west coast offens.
Tom Brady- Luckiest player of all time
