It works the same way. As I shared, I have EA place the card right on your account.

I have EA place the card right on the winners account based on information they provide me when they win. They're usually delivered on Thursdays or Fridays, but it's up to EA as to when they send them out.

If there is a bidding war at the end and bidding goes beyond 9:00 PM, is there a certain amount of time allowed between bids before the action is ended and any late bidders would have their bid rejected?

This is spelled out in the rules. We wait for a full minute with no bids before we close it. So yes, it often goes past the end time.
