I forgot how good this ability is until I added it to Aikman
QBs are now able to shed zones or squeeze balls past tight man coverage
We now need all DBs to have pick artist or inside shade to even things out
Passing offense now overpowers defense

Mam it's been overpowering offense. It's insane right now. I've played several guys that just throw outside shoulder streaks with sfl. Beat one with a last minute user pick. Something has to be done to help defensively. Like defensive ap needs to go up by 5 while offense stays the same. Couple this with all of the dropped picks and defense us damn near impossible.

Offense is and has been so OP even that might not make a big difference lol
Especially since I think its obvious that at least PART of the problem isnt just the way theyve tuned it to play out (favoring offense even more than the arena league the NFL has become irl) but just a result of how absolutely BROKEN the game is.
I don't think EA intended for these defenders to flat out ignore the ball in coverage or take such comically bad pursuit angles etc the game is just THAT bad. But trying something like that couldnt hurt, thats for sure.
The gameplays the best its ever been. Yall just cry on here rather than adjust. Dont worry the harvest tournaments this weekend, maybe they'll have some defense you can steal.

That's why the MCS games all have damn near 80 combined points. The "best" Madden players are struggling on defense. Let's be realistic. Edge players don't matter, as 80 overall lineman block the hell out of them. Defense sucks atm.

Nothing will be done bruh. EA has given you the exact gaming experience that they intended to deliver. One where almost anyone can just pick up the game and be able to drive the ball and score. This has been in the making for five years now - ever since Madden 19's MUT Master Ryan Shazier was wreaking havoc and lurking the hell out of little Timmys all day long.
So starting with Madden 20 our LBs can't jump unless you put Lurker on them... but they still may not catch the ball (until this year's Lurk Artist). DBs drop so many balls it's mind numbing. Over the years the game has been tuned to reward Aggressive face catching... low point throws... high point throws... and whatever it takes to make offense easier and defense damn near impossible. On current gen... usering feels frustratingly sluggish and in this year's game, receivers seem to catch almost anything thrown their way (assuming of course you have Gift Wrapped on your QB). On top of all that... the least skillful offensive scheme (designed around all the different RPOs) has made bums feel like they're MUT gods. Quick hiking became a thing until the pro players complained about it. And when the meta defenses evolved with effective loop blitzes... well EA fixed that with their last patch. They don't want little Timmy getting discouraged and quitting - they want him to keep playing and bugging mom for the credit card.
Be wary of anyone who says "gameplay is better than ever"... or "just git gud"... they're probably not all that skilled at the game. They like M24 because offense is easy. The byproduct is that when two good players face off... the game literally hinges on getting one stop or a random diceroll turnover and most games end up as high scoring shootouts.

I think EA absolutely intended that.

Mic drop. Couldn't have said it better myself. When I see dudes say, "gameplay is at the best it has been in years", I'm like - yep. This guy likely sucks and wants 38 to 35 games where something random decides who win. They probably are the ones running bunch all game, too.

I swear my defense has no concept of the first down marker OR the goal line. They play the same no matter where they are. Lol

I'm sorry, are you complaining that EA nerfed the cheese blitzes that had guys running free at the QB every play while saying that the game ISN'T skill based?
...weird.
