I’ve seen recently in a few forums that there’s a lot of people who don’t like OOP cards. To people who don’t like them what’s your reasoning? I’m genuinely interested
OOP Players
towards end of the year i make an effort to ONLY use the oop players. Mut is an arcade mode, have fun with it.
tbh I only like OOP for promos like ZC and GTs, and only realistic OOP too
Josh Allen is a mid card but I like Gilmore and Pacheco is pretty cool, and ofc the cornerback megatron he’s cool.
I rike it but cards like Josh Allen i don't like bc he has never played lb. There's plenty of guys who have played oop irl that is more real but still fun. I don't think Pacheco has played safety or Gilmore wr. Why not someone who did it
Gilmore with team chemistry is faster than anyone not named Tyreek so I have been loving his card on go routes especially. Last year also the Julius peppers SS Harold Carmichael and Donald Parham CBs were what the made the GT program so fun and who could forget The Daniel Faalele 6’7“ 400 pound HB. The super Tall DBs is fun it’s arcade not serious football. The Super heavy running backs that bounces off everyone they were a lot of what made MUT fun to play with at the end of the year.
Love them. One of the only TT I like to run
We don't like then because while "fun" they're dumb lol. I like OOP that are trolly but not actually meta. QB Derrick Henry to say the least... EA spends way too much time giving nobodies and OOP cards instead of guys who've deserved it... Roquon Smith, Kyle Hamilton etc. Tavius Robinson has a 91, dudes play a few snaps...
You need to separate the poll based on age. I promise you it’s a factor in these results.

QB Derrick Henry was fun as hell!
I love the team building aspect of MUT the most (as most of us probably do). If you’re making an all star team, you wouldn’t be putting your WR at CB etc etc. I have 93 Calvin at CB5 for ZC chemistry. Same with Evans, using him as a backup. I can’t stand it lol. It’s just not for me. Didn’t like using a fake player in Terry Tate, either, but needed him for 50 MF chem when I was doing that.
Just my opinion. It’s a game and I want everyone to have fun however they like. I just like to keep some degree of realism in my team building.
It depends.
I don't mind some OOP cards. But some should have never been a thing. It was maddening playing anyone that was just spamming HB Dive with HB Daniel Faalele last year, or a certain 6'8 MLB.
Things like Deion Sanders WR, Megatron/Julio Jones FS, Ronnie Brown QB, and Nick Foles WR, i dont mind because they technically played those positions at least once.
There also have been some OOP cards I've wanted to be put in the game before like a QB Julian Edelman, QB Trey Burton, MLB Pat McAfee (thats never gonna happen).

I think you have a great point there.
It depends, but I'm not really a fan, it just feels weird to me, I don't mind them adding OOP players, I just don't want them to be 'must haves' at their position, if you want an OOP player, the fact that it is some guy totally out of position and wonky should be the appeal, not that they now have the best stats and are better than the best actual cards at that position. OOP megatron at CB? I guess, he should have great catching and jumping and stuff, but his coverage should be mid at best. I don't mind OOP players for people that actually ended up in the position for whatever reason, like QBs at punter if they've punted, big WRs in the secondary who defended hailmarys (but again, their coverage should not be good, thats not why they were out there), olineman/dlineman that were brought into to play fb/hb, etc.
