TotY Aaron Donald

Has anyone tried the new Team of the Year Aaron Donals as a DT? I was thinking about grabbing him and using him as a rush DT but not sure how well he will work. Would zero AP No Outsiders and Strip Specialist be the best abilities to use? Is there a better choice for rush DT in the TotY program?

I tried user-ing him while playing the TOTY challenges.

He isn't bad. And that is without roid-ing him up with X Factors or special abilities.

He is the best End in the game. Crosby sucks compared to him. He can't get off a block.

A) he gets no juiced up abilities or X factors

B) Karlaftis with Colossus is far better, there are several lithe edge rushers that are better

C) On the inside Sapp and Harrison are far better

When you say Sapp, Harrison & Karlaftis are all better.....

Do you mean juiced up versions are better because of their X Factors or Special added abilities?

I would think that if we were talking natural, non-modified players, Donald would be the best? His stats and natural abilities are better than everyone in the game right now.

Unless you're playing in a tournament without any abilites or factors,  who cares????

Statistically Kevin Byard sucks but he's a top FS in Madden because of his abilities/X factors

Base stats/attributes have little to do with how good a card is anymore

Even with no chem boosts (which again, make a card better than another so why even evaluate it without those chems?????) Those cards are better because of X factors and abilities

You cannot evaluate a card in Madsen now without factoring in 1) Team/promo chems, 2) abilities 3) X factors 4).AP disounts

In your post your basically saying OVR is the best measure of a carrd (higher cards generally have better ratings) but that's absolutely not the case anymore

I am asking because.....

I may choose to juice up and X-Factor other positions and not want to use EA Magic on DL & DE.

I may not be using a Super Bowl Strategy Item once Sugar Rush drops.

I play NMS. So I have to play a little different and think beyond the current trends and utilize players that can last beyond the current promo. But added abilities and X Factors most certainly change the game and make lesser players better!

His stats are meaningless if his abilities are bad

You can play NMS, that has no bearing on whether or not you use abilities or use players with better abilities than others. There are cheaper cards that get better abilities

That's right!  I do not think there is a better DE out there if someone choses to use X-Factors and AP elsewhere? I think he has the best natural abilities in the game, am I wrong?
