well as far as I see it he the only guy outside of ray and willis you can use and not get body slammed by RPO's. added on with him not just getting a important KO ( mid zone) but every single one of them.
EDIT CONTEXT: I asked people how much they would pay for a user a long time ago and about every single person would spend a corporate tax fund to get a user. people don't care they just want what wins them games.

I disagree with your statement about Watt. If you user him he is pretty good.

well.....I see your point he is defiantly a good user but you can't put him as a sub linebacker cause he's a END. if he was OLB like LT I see the vision, but I'm just not gonna go through the hassle of substituting someone that expensive across the entire lineup on several formations just to set up my D every game especially if I wanna change out said coverage.
example: if I ran 6-1 with him outside with a token of LA, out my way, and secure tackler and I'm getting cooked, I'm adjusting , coming out nickel over/normal or 3-3. I would have do endless subs to get J.J on a certain area of the field while my opponent already picked his play or worse case scenario no huddle.
it's too many moving pieces you got to do, and pants hanging down that is just not worth banging your buck for especially what already worked for you or who else was fine before it was released.

I hope everyone else has the exact same outlook.
But if his price falls drastically I may pick him up and use him to torment my opponents. LOL
For any old gen on here Vick and Dickerson I like Tony G because I’m intrigued by running secure protector on 6 but beyond that it not necessary for us. No Colossus use so LT and Watt are pretty limited as they don’t get UF. Troy P is great as a sub lb If his height doesn’t bother you because we don’t get deep zone KO. Personally I don’t need Hester another ability Deep Elite we don’t get and I have Moss, Scary Terry, and Carmichael and I have Deion UL for the Return man ability I don’t miss Hester there.

Momentum shift should absolutely be a thing, it’s a way to balance the game. What’s the argument against Tony G?

Momentum Shift Auto-On X-Factors remind me of those old customizable card games where people had the play the meta more than they needed to play the game, and some opponent draws were more-or-less auto-losses. It's really lame to go into a game trying to beat one type of cut-and-paste lineup that gives you headaches, only to have someone drop Momentum Shift in a game where they receive the opening kickoff, score a quick TD to enable the Lockdown condition, get a pick, and enable the Zoned Out condition. It sounds really random and unlikely, but this happens, and it's basically nothing more than a short series of unfavorable coin flips.

Dealing with RPO's is so easy though... You don't need a specific user, just call man and sit in the box.

wouldn’t that add more strategy tho? You can’t over rely on X factors because your opponent might have a momentum shift

If you want pure, non-randomized strategy, you have chess. If you want calculated risks, you have Black Jack. Meta is not strategy, it's a calculated risk.
I should be able to rely on X-Factors. There's no Kryptonite in the NFL. There are good players and lesser players, but there aren't players that merely step onto the field, and then other players suddenly become next to worthless.
(I will acknowledge that some abilities and X-Factors are overpowered, and ought to be nerfed. 'Counter-abilitying' overpowered items doesn't improve Madden (or any other game, for that matter), it just subjects victims of random chance to negative play experiences.)
