Why is this community ok with cheating and exploits?

So, No, Mid Blitz *is* a problem specifically with Madden. The user can glitch out the linemen AI because the AI isn’t as intelligent or responsive or dynamic as real-life players.

The solution to this is Program Better Logic, not an unenforceable TOS that bans ‘glitching’.

If they actually cared the could have just removed that one play and make people manually set the blitz up and that would have stopped like 90% of it

Regarding all of the hate surrounding double mug, if you are having issues playing against this defense and are looking for ideas to counter it and do not want to pay for an ebook, my recommendation is that you run double mug in solo battle game against the computer on legend difficulty (ideally against the highest overall possible) and watch what happens. 

You might be able to get the best of the computer for a series, but if you just run mid blitz and nickel 3 buzz, the computer will figure out what you are doing and dial up quick route combo's that absolutely cook it while getting the ball out in under 3 seconds. 

Then after the computer cooks it, replay the play so you can see the route combo that was generated, and then adapt it into your gameplan. Do this for an hour and Double mug will no longer be an issue.

I agree with what you have said, but unfortunately, it looks like they are not going to or know how to fix these issues. Therefore, they should implement a penalty of some sort when spamming the play three times in a row,  maybe a flag of some sort, just add something just so the player knows he can’t do this. It’s ridiculous how they don’t address this issue in the game.

Not a bad idea the could just up the chances for an offside penalty or something.

I cant believe people are saying DEFENSE needs to be handicapped. The defensive "glitch plays" are your ONLY chance at slowing dowm the broken unstoppable offenses. Just further depresses me that the modern nfl fan wants arena football or 7 on 7 in shells, they dont even know what football is if they think this game (or even the modern nfl) is it.

If EA just made it clear that glitching/exploiting/cheating would get you banned, it wouldn't happen...but instead you have their commentators on the MCS yelling "screamer" every time double mug glitches through the line like it takes skill to exploit the game.  What a joke.

What you are describing as "cheating" or "glitches" are widely regarded as legit game knowledge. EA has tried, in their own little pathetic manner, at patching some of the most glaring and obvious exploits, such as Double Mug and route stem speed boosts, but ultimately the Devs have no actual clue how to begin repairing these massive issues. Fixing blocking requires too much effort, there's really no hope in sight. 

This is NOT a good game, let alone one that is fair, balanced, nor fun and competitive. Understanding the great game of football is useless here, as nothing about the current state of the game represents anything remotely resembling simulation football. "Getting good" simply involves learning which combination of routes will dumb out defenders and there's essentially zero organic pass rush (everything is timer based when it comes to blocking calculations), so each and every single year it's a race to find whatever formations have not been updated from prior years and using those to loop or nano blitz your way to sacks. 

Don't hate the player(s), hate the game.

I defended EA for many years during the aughts on the basis that the calculations needed for processing multiple simulated personalities and their expected actions and reactions relative to other objects could become infinitely complex. When we were dealing with technologies like the PS2, and when machine learning had yet to reach the accessibility it has today, this was a viable excuse for glitchy CPU responses that a human would consistently outperform.

We're past that.

I accept that there will be glitches in AI programming, but if it's hard to correct issues that are so readily discovered by the gaming community, those issues stem from woefully inadequate flow charting and comments. Unfortunately, most of the "talent" coming out of computer sciences is reportedly capable only of working with preexisting libraries, and they lack the troubleshooting capacities needed to debug programs that don't work as they should.

The people that programmed games for the Atari 2600 had to work within extremely restrictive data storage and bandwidth constraints. There was no room on a ROM for all-purpose subroutines. The only way forward for EA is to get those guys to program their games. If they don't, the next iteration of Madden will eventually have its own bugs exposed and abused, with no real possibility of fixing issues without breaking other parts of the game.

The double mug is bad but not even close to the route stem glitch.

The answer is simple bro. 90% of the population are NPC's ... This is just the truth. Most ppl don't possess the ability to critically think let alone form an opinion or thought by themselves.

So if EA patches it, there will be ANOTHER exploit found instantly that people will use. People are just lame

Most people also seem to agree with you on some level, so by extension, most people fail at introspection. They have enough of an education to see that there is an issue, but don't understand how they are part of it.

It's crazy how hard it is for people to realize this.

It’s the game. It isnt cheating, and even though it is frustrating, people gotta stop complaining so much about the game. I’ve been frustrated many times about double mug mid blitz or when stem glitch was a thing. 
 

But there’s too much frustration and negativity about this topic. Either you try your best to beat it, or don’t play the game. Or, you find communities online that don’t play with those glitches. You’ve heard it many times before: it’s a game.
