The MOTW Program didn't have the desired effect, so for now it's been paused. We're evaluating if it will be back in the future or not. Will keep you all posted as we go.

alright thanks for the update
I'm glad it's gone. Made people too thirsty on this site.

What exactly do you mean by it didn't have the "desired effect"?

I cannot speak for anyone but I would assume he is implying that the award was first meant to highlight individual efforts as a way of rewarding and recognizing their efforts to improve the site while simultaneously boosting community morale and also set the tone on what a positive example should be, only for certain people to actually pretend to be helpful and fake niceness only in efforts to win the prize instead of meaning what they say while others would become upset and angry when they didn’t get selected after similar actions so it became more of a hassle to crown individuals over others when clearly they weren’t the most eligible for said award but at the same time the selection panel of judges likely felt pressure by the unspoken claims of favoritism shining through the fallacy of rewarding those who become exemplary members while only being able to select a couple of members at a time and reselecting them as soon as they became eligible again even though there were other members who were much more helpful in that timeframe but were not selected to have the green color simply based on the fact that they are broncos fans.
or something
Reason: I spelled something incorrcgly

Makes sense. Sad to see things end up this way.
Glad to see the selection panel being anti-Broncos though :)
Solid move IMO. Let's see who cares now vs who cared before to win a prize.

I mean you nailed it. Couldn't have written it better myself. /S
The program was designed to encourage members making quality posts, but at a sustained level. It turned into many folks being very active when they were eligible to win again, and then disappearing. So it didn't really have the desired effect. We're thinking through new ways to reward member who are more consistent.

You could have used a period or two.
