All my opponents dbs are superhuman (even if theyre trash cards)

But mine are useless. And theyre all top tier cards.is this just DDA? I just played a game where ALL downfield (and even some underneath ones) were aggressively hawked by his mid cards and my guys just dont react at all. I finally quit up 21-16 with him facing 4th and 10 on his own 12 yard line with lile a min left because he threw a ball right to one of my defenders who dropped it. This game is SO bad its incredibly rare to make it out the first quarter before someone quits.

Also, to an only SLIGHTLY less frustrating extent, my opponents all seem to have a guaranteed return on kicks out yo the 40 or better (and its usually the one and only last line defender who makes that tackle, but his kick coverage team gets me inside the 30 guaranteed, sometimes inside rhe 20.

Is this the worst year of DDA/equalizer ever? Or am I missing something else?

Edit: another thing that makes kick coverage frustarting is you cant even control your coverage guys, they always "heat seek" on their own back inside and tale themselves out of the play even if youre CLEARLY trying to go outside.

Theres nothing "user error" about cpu controlled defenders and even if you user this madden has the least control ever. Youre not in control.

Honestly my defense is really hit or miss..until I go double mug and mid blitz heavy against someone who pulls the same stunt. I'll play their game back at them and do it better than they will if they think that's how they want to play. The sad thing is, even aside from my blitz getting in so damn fast that IT WILL SACK THE QB ON RUN PLAYS, my coverage is somehow sticky as all hell. (Granted, I know some stuff about theory and how to adjust and play with man coverage.) but when it covers better than my alternatives at cover 1 hole/robber, cover 2 man, tampa 2, cover 2 invert, cover 6, cover 4 and certainly anything cover 3, there's clearly an issue. A major one.

Def in this years UT is nothing but Pure shit hands down worst i have ever seen it.Was suppose to be fixed with last Title Update but it 100% was not

I don't really have anything constructive to add here, but you're not wrong -- about basically anything and everything you commented.  I will never understand how anyone can play this game competitively, as the gameplay is so ridiculously inconsistent.  I've been forced to take a huge step back, which was a long time in the making.  I'm still habitually logging on each and every single day, basically to just keep up with my Dailies.  I told myself once they patched the route stem glitches and some of the most glaring bugs and issues that I'd probably be eager to dive into more H2H online play, as that is (at least in my mind) the primary purpose of online sports games.

Holy, was I was very wrong.  Despite my extremely low expectations, EA has yet again managed to botch things at every step of the way.

When it comes to kick offs, which return type are you using?  Typically if i call the uhhh Special / Reverse return type and send my kick returner for the sidelines, I can often return the ball to the 30-40 yard line, almost exactly as you stated.  Usually just have that single defender to try and beat around the edge to break it wide open.  CPU controlled AI logic is as bad as it's ever been.

I've tried Wild Card Football as well as Legend Bowl, but obviously neither have NFL (or NFLPA) license... what's a guy supposed to do?  Might be time to resurrect some classic gaming, I wonder if I can talk the 11 year old into playing Tecmo Bowl with (or against) me.

I have wild card, but didnt it play it much beyond when it was new. Maybe i should try it again. At this point i wish we could just play old maddens, 2ks, ncaas from the early to mid 2000s. Sure the rosters would be put of date but youd get to play with actual legends now in regs and the gameplay was SOOO much better. 

If they dropped an old school techmo port or any of the other old school games (even gameday used to be fun in the late 90s) id probably buy it. Anything but this. Lol

I never bother trying to actually hand the ball off on an actual reverse, I allow my guy to field the kick off and scream immediately towards the sideline, because I haven't yet been able to adjust the ball carrier to Conservative, so fumbles galore on initial kicks. 

None of the skill moves are particularly useful this year, so I just tend to play entire games on conservative. YMMV, wish I could help address any of the other major gripes and issues you pointed out. Oof.

I play on conservative too. I go empty backfield and just pass the entire game.

What am i missing, is it just to mitigate fumble chances? I DO fumble a little more often than id like, but its not near the top of my gripes in my expereince. And the juke/spin does work for me sometimes, doesnt conservative disable that?

The game fumbles like a high school guy putting his number into the cell phone of the prom queen if it's not on conservative. It's not worth it imo but maybe when the carry ratings improve it gets better, I dunno.

Edit - yes conservative disables all of those moves completely. Also if you enable conservative, kickoff returns will still be on balanced. I've fumbled returns numerous times because of this.
