Honestly with my Steelers TT, Pickens, and OBJ, once I get Megatron to 99 I'll be set at WR.

Content almost every weekday and legends Saturday.. golden tickets in a week or two.. endgame is such a strong term. We haven’t even finished all promo and those are the most “endgame” cards in the game. Do as you wish. Just sharing my thought.

Just looking at non TT or Legend TT you cant get better than those 4. 

Even for Steelers AT BEST youll get who, Plexico and Ward? (fuck the other WR lol). For run blocking... Megatron, Ward, and Pickens are all top shelf

Overalls dont mean anything lol. 

Since 98s hit and even some 97s hit End game because you cant get better stat wise and you MAY save 1 AP on an ability here or there. Especially for TT where they may only get a handful or two of actual played TT and then some TT Filler like the FA 98s have been.

Every skill position card that gets 99 speed base or with chem boosts can be endgame. 

Every card plays the same. The only difference is physical attributes (height, weight) and abilities.

Everyone thinks differently - I have always done sets and had the BNDs until now. I think the OP is just trying to help people understand you dont have to do the set, you can buy the card and sell it back for a better return.

Appreciate it. in The short term the set makes sense, but in the long term it’s going to make you spend more money. Which is what ea wants.

Why would anyone spend $2M then on two 98’s and turn around and sell the 99 for $1M then? Yes Reggie was a 99 but he also didn’t get the baked on abilities that these 99’s get. If you’re trying to improve your team, why would you make a set for a gold 99 to sell the top card, only to keep the 98 BND’s? Cards that will be outdated in a few weeks. This isn’t a shot at you, this is a shot at anyone who does that - is getting two 98 BND’s for 1M instead of 2M worth it? Versus having two 98’s and a possible end game 99 on your roster? And I wasn’t saying your way of doing things is wrong, I just think you’re not saving a ton in the long run like you think you are. If you only want a 99, then yea, buy it. But if you’re planning on keeping some 98’s too, then you’d better be planning on selling them soon to recoup cost enough to make it worthwhile. Otherwise you’re paying $2-400k more for the same cards as doing the set.

The final 5 cards could all be endgame, but the 98s are not. They are good.. great even, but not endgame. In a few weeks not 1 of those 98s wont be on anyone’s team that’s not theme teamed. For theme teams you could argue endgame, but there will be much better cards in the near future.

I’m saying if you just want a 99, then buy it. If you want a 99 plus two 98’s for your team, then the set is cheaper for you than buying all 3 outright.

Nevermind.. we arent on the same page. Even if you want all 3 it’s going to cost 2 mill for the 2 98s That will then be worth little To nothing. In the future to replace those cards you’re going to have to spend more than you saved. So unless you think these 98s that no one has used are your forever player.. it might be smarter to just buy the card so it has value in the future.

I agree with you - most 98’s at this point are temporary starters or TT fillers. Not endgame cards. But if you’re not someone like me, and don’t have a good coin stack, but want a 99 tomorrow and 2 or the 98’s also for your team, why would you spend say $2M on the two 98’s, plus 900k on the 99, putting you at almost 3M total. I’m agreeing with you that if you’re only interested in the 99 by itself, then buy it for 900k tomorrow. But you broadcasting to everyone on this forum not to do the set for BND’s is only applicable for those wanting just the 99. I’ve shown in my math earlier that if you pay Market value for multiple cards (99 and 98’s) you’re losing more coins that way. EA is constantly releasing cards every week with higher OVR’s or better abilities, so if you are terrified of losing value on a card you buy, you might as well just never upgrade your team until we get Golden Tickets. And honestly we’re almost at April and it’s been super easy to make coins this year, so if someone is concerned about trying to sell off a 98 in a few weeks to save 2-400k, they haven’t been investing and flipping throughout the year as they should have. I‘ve played UT enough over the years to know that the biggest market crash is typically during blitz. And then once eggs hatch, prices plummet and will stay low the rest of the year, as a lot of players fall off unless you’re wanting draft players and golden tickets. So banking on being able to sell off a 98 you acquire tomorrow for a decent return after Easter isn’t being smart.

I hear you man, completely understandable. As long as we‘re all having fun. All the hate and bugs aside, it’s been a pretty fun year of Madden for me. I don’t get everyone wanting the 800stars worth of challenges back. Screw that 😂😂😂
