Lol, been selling head coaches for 10-15k for months now, guess that's not okay. Im sure I'll get banned soon because I'm NMS. At this point I'm seriously considering spending 100 dollars just to avoid a ban..
Greedy EA fucks.
TheNickSix said:bud, we just talked about marking up the prices on low golds.
We did, but I saw them selling for 100k, so I thought there was room for this to happen, heh. Seems I'll never learn.
Now I'm stuck with 6M coin and no way to spend it. Ahh well, things were getting out of control. I was already in danger of becoming a MUT menu guy. Found myself spending far too much time in auction house.
Oh well, eventually I'll just walk away from this mess of an experience. At least all of you guys in the community have been fantastic. I remain an idiot.
I don't get why they're going to set Min/Max ranges of they're meaningless. Meanwhile, I see Titans jerseys selling for 1M coins all day. I don't think the bots are very effective, only removing regular players. Coin sellers still find a way.

All my gold players go into making those Base Playbook Fantasy Packs. I make 100 at a time... when I run out of golds I just buy up any that are selling for under 1k on the Auction House. So for a max investment of 3k each... I sell them for 25k each (old gen pricing). It's the best return on investment in the game BY FAR.
Part of my daily MUT chores includes putting up 20 team playbooks for 25k each on the auction house and I've done this since the game dropped in August. Without fail, I sell between 5 - 10 playbooks every single day. That's 100-200k of passive income per day.... 700-1400k per week... without fail and without a lot of effort. People are lazy and don't like making the sets... or they just don't know about the sets.
On current gen there are way more players... so my guess is there are too many people doing this for it to be profitable. But on old gen the team playbooks sell really well at that price. I'm shocked because... like who's buying all these playbooks?
But now my golden goose is dead.
Truly impressive stuff. I always had 24 hour auctions running for other nonsense, but now I'm in break again, perhaps permanently.
One more step closer to not having an AH next year….
Be prepared

I'm actually starting to believe this.
The way EA emphasizes H2H play... I don't think they realize how much of their player base enjoy solos... team building... and working the auction house as the most fun things to do in the game.
Heck for me... H2H is the most fun aspect of the game but if they remove the auction house then I might very well give up Madden after 10 years of hardcore MUT.

I think you are exactly correct. It will be the same way the trade block wasn't included this year, and wasn't even addressed. Like "Well hopefully they will just forget that was even a feature....".
And I'm already prepared. I won't be back for 25. I was on the fence this year, and EA has convinced me that buying 24 was a big mistake.

I'm right there with you, my brother. Unless I have a moment of weakness next year and find some absolute steal (~$30?) for Madden `25, i'm almost certainly going to sit that one out, as well. I fell prey to the "make or break year" marketing bullshit, have remained somewhat delusional, thinking that actually meant something. Heh. We'll see if i'm able to learn my lesson. Of all the things to get addicted to, stupid MUT. It'd be one thing if this was actually a polished, decent game, but EA can't even seem to get the basics correct. I've been over a month now without any H2H seasons and it's basically just tough titties. Bleh.

I completely understand that. I gave it and just bought the base version - and I'm soooo glad I did, when I hear some people STILL haven't gotten their $100 preorder bonuses!! I'm of the mindset that a "game" by definition, should be "fun". And Madden has been anything but. Why pay to be frustrated?
peatrick said:And i got banned again already for selling fEagles fanbois their punters and kickers at steep markup. Didn't even last a full ~week with my Auction House access restored. Pig fuckers.
But they don't have the time, or skill to fix my 3-4+ weeks of no working H2H Seasons gameplay. A basic friggin feature of the damn game. Perhaps THE primary function of my MUT squad would be to play somewhat "competitive" H2H stuff (i'm not delusional enough to think i'm ever going to be a Comp player, so i use the term loosely)... yet we're all missing out and i'm sure they'll give us liek an 84 OVR make-right for missing out on months of gameplay action.
Still not really sure why we got this yesterday for logging in: https://www.mut.gg/players/12531-jabrill-peppers/24-21012531/
no reason for the peppers, was confused aswell

I'm such a sucker, i paid extra for Deluxe edition thinking i was going to get a nice head start, did everything i could to be in a position to hit the ground running -- at least i got my 2800 pre-order Points, but had to waste a bunch of them right off the bat anyway, as EA neglected to include the PREMIER portion of the Rookie Premier promo. Sets that i invested a ton of time and money and effort (~15M coins) to build all 33 Rookie Premier sets from `23 ended up somewhat or mostly being a waste. Instead of having a stacked squad of 84 OVRs from the get-go, we had to wait weeks just to get the RP players, oof. And as you pointed out, some folks are STILL waiting for pre-order bonuses. Horrendous, EA can't even get the basics right. Beyond inept.
For brief moments there's a tiny bit of fun factor, but then some game-breaking bugs or glitches will inevitably quash what attempts at "fun" i'm having, it's absolutely absurd -- exactly as you described, a frustrating, buggy ass mess. It's been difficult for me to squash this MUT addiction, although lately it's becoming more and more difficult to care. I guess that's the ultimate goal, since pure fun factor does not seem to be a viable option.
I'll still casually play 2P head to head with my 10 year old son, but there's been little value in stressing and obsessing over trying to learn a game that's a borderline disaster. I couldn't imagine actually competing for tens of thousands of dollars, let alone six+ figures. This game is in no state for competitive gameplay, basic game functionality barely even works half the time. Uggh.

Someone mentioned that the community got to vote on which players would be given out to everyone as rewards. Strange, why would anyone care about what are essentially mediocre day 1 cards. I guess it's nice if someone is literally just starting the game, but feels insulting to call this any type of "gift" or whatever Advent / MUTvent bullshit continues.
I mainly play H2H, but I'm definitely not buying bundles. I'll buy up a really good offer here and there that's under $20, but nothing more, and never more than once per month (I can't stomach seeing that kind of expense on my budget!). So the auction house is crucial - I don't buy every new player, but I do get my theme teamers after they come down in price (Come on Jerry Rice... enough already).
If there's no auction house next year, I simply will not be able to play. Period.

I'm learning the hard way how difficult it is to cobble together a team without access to the auction house. Second time already this year i've lost my privileges. Doesn't seem to have slowed the actual coin sellers any. EA is apparently just driving away us regular customers. Ahh well, it's long past the point of getting angry or upset over this nonsense... they're continued awful behavior is going to ultimately drive away passionate fans such as myself. I came out of retirement to launch my budding MUT career, but seems it's going to be short lived. Almost made it to the 1 year mark... if i'm still here obsessing over this shit in December 2k24, please someone come slap me silly with a large trout.
