OOP!

We want realism and skill and every year around xmas oop ruins the game, you can add it to the list of hundreds of things ea doest wrong but it will never change. Some of yall would use a hitler card if the stats were good. Stop being madden players and become football players.

YES. This shit is so annoying. I want to play football, not fucking transformers. A couple oop players here n there are cute. Until ur playing a defense of 11 6'8 crackheads running around like a todler off percoset 30.

If u want it to be realistic don’t play ultimate team just play franchise or h2h with real nfl teams ultimate team is goofy and weird that’s the point it’s not meant to be that Realistic it’s meant to be fun

OOP is just part of the whole team building arcade style charm of MUT. Franchise modes is for realists. MUT already has modern players on teams alongside players from as long ago as the 1950s with the uniforms and equipment mismatched and all. I wouldn‘t care if they stopped making OOP crazy players but I’ll use them if they make my team better. I like the team building aspect of MUT and playing with legends I watched in my youth and players I like today is part of what makes it fun. It’s not real life it’s one mode on a video game and not one striving to be realistic. If we are going to do away with the giant skill players that are freakishly fast give the legends modern helmets and uniforms to blend in as well as let us change their numbers so the team looks cohesive. Since thats not happening yet I’ll enjoy my 6’7 safety and keep looking to snipe the 300 pound qb I want.

Correct. Its a fantasy card collecting game with players, some of which are dead, running around in atl unis and stadiums. At least there are no women players trucking tj watt at will like eafc.

Let's be clear for a second. 

OOP Players existing are absolutely NOT the issue. This is a videogame. If you want to crap on people and be all "rah rah get with real football" go play connected franchise, or normal h2h. Or just, I dunno.. don't play the gamemodes that are meant to be a little more out there in the first place. It's called ultimate team.

But, to concede to your point a bit, the WAY oop cards are is stupid. I remember when oop cards had clear drawbacks, or were situational. OOP cards in general not being the best cards at the game but great at specifics. I think SOMETIMES it's a little fun to be silly with it, like the years with Walter Payton at QB, or Bo at every position one year.. 

But William Perry with Vick-like speed, a cannon of an arm, great accuracy? What the hell? OOP Carmichael, Peppers, and gronk just outright being the best cards at their position in the game being able to do EVERYTHING AND ANYTHING? 

TLDR; OOP isn't the problem, it's how the OOP cards themselves are. Some are honestly completely fine like the Calvin CB. But these oop cards that are busted are basically golden ticket cards in December and are so stupidly good you would be actively hurting yourself by not using them if you can afford them as they have no drawbacks AND the advantage of having some out of position stat advantages (such as height, weight, trucking, catching all being wildly higher than normal cards at the same position)
