Lurk artist is a very good ability. It’s only worth it if you have money to spend tho. Don’t make the rest of your team weaker for one of those guys tho. As long as you have the coin and you got a balanced team then they’re definitely worth it
Bernard on my 25/50 Bills team is the best user I have used this year and it's not close. If you can afford it having Lurk Artist is such an advantage.

Looking for opinions and reviews on the ability - saying really all that looks hella condescending, not intended boys. Just sceptical due to LBers historically being a minority

It is 100% worth it due to multiple reasons adaptive AI linebackers will stop runs, safties have about a 50/50 chance of being pancaked and do not shed as easily. having multiple linebackers on the field with lurk artist allows you to base out of normal defensive formations and not have to worry about getting ran all over because safties were the only ones getting animations. honestly it’s robbery to force you to NEED an ability to be able to get proper animations, especially if they are a pass coverage archetype. Here is a 90 overall linebacker with great stats In pass coverage but he can’t catch a cold soaking wet in the snow without an ability. it’s criminal and forces a “realistic sim” football game to be super unreal. show me nfl teams that play in a dollar formation every play on Sunday. Linebackers haven’t been viable users since madden 19, and needing an ability just to catch a ball thrown right at your face and not be able to jump for it even if you have 85+ jumping is bullshit.

dam sounds like it really is the place to be! I didn’t mean to sound condescending at all, I’m more sceptical. linebackers been so bad for so long and the players who get this ability are pricey cards

To be fair most defenses will come out in the same formation for the majority of the game. They don't make drastic changes. But dollar? Yeah probably not. Haha
I don't think we should ever expect anything that's simulation comparable from ultimate team. If that's your thing you should probably go to CFM or something. I would also go as far as to say that linebackers not executing insane animations every time a ball comes near them is far MORE realistic. A lot of the time the guys are just a little over 6 feet tall and approaching 250 lbs. They're not the most agile dudes on the field.
I usered London Fletcher with lurker right after team diamonds came out last year and I got all kinda picks with him. Didn't have many issues with him not animating. Does he have the same range as a safety, no he doesn't. If you position him correctly can he still come down with the ball, absolutely he can. People want linebackers to be able to execute these wild ass animations because they want there to be more room for error on their part. Also they don't want to have to be worried about choosing the correct personnel based on what package the offense chose because that's just way too much work.
