KOs are too Overpowered

I don't think they'll ever be able to truly release a balanced game. Too many ppl out to find the glitches, and there will always be glitches.

i run regular zone coverage and it works fine for me

imo they just need to do two things:

1. have a staff monitoring gameplay trends so they can quickly identify / nerf OP metas  as they arise. 
2. decrease the effectiveness of repeat play calls on offense to prevent spamming (e.g. could have the defense’s PRC / AWR  stats rise and CPU performance improve temporarily on  repeat calls by the offense) - this a fairly realistic representation of what would happen in an actual NFL game

I literally just said it’s activates everywhere on the field not just outside the numbers and over 20 yards.. and I’m not saying there isn’t a place for KOs.. just tone them down..my dude shouldn’t drop a ball after beating the defender because he was barley touched with a KO… or have a counter ability that’s expensive AP

If a WR has a deep ball ability and a corner has a a deep KO, it should be a 50/50 shot every time. I refuse to believe its that difficult to code that to be a 50/50.

When a KO is matched with a Route “Elite” ability (Short in elite, deep out elite, etc.) It should be a % chance from wide receiver and defender. These percentiles could get be chosen based on player overall, like if a 97 overall is matched with a 97 overall, 50%/50% chance. Or they could add an entirely new statistic rating (probably for future madden games) such as  short, mid, deep knockout, and short, mid, deep, catching. These two components would then come together and face off, with the percent of knockout chance favoring the higher overall. Or they could simply tune down knockouts, such as the range of hitting the ball out, like within the first step or two of the wide receiver.

Abilities in general need to go. Imo it’s lame as hell when a certain outcome happens just because you attach some superhuman ability on them. Take the knockout for example, that should only happen on big hits or intentional strips. If the defender doesn’t do either than leave the catching up to the receivers catch and cit attributes.

Unfortunately the only way I see madden doing this is if they build a truly physics based game and move away from animations.

they never work for me but my receivers can never catch when guarded by someone with it.

I wish they would go back to 3 abilities on each side of the ball. Honestly I would rather do away with abilities but 3 on each side sounds reasonable to me

The problem isn't the ability. It's that every ability is free or discounted, making gameplay ridiculous. If you want to have 4 zone knockouts on the field fine, but you shouldn't be able to have 20 other abilities on top of that. There should be strengths and weaknesses in every scheme.

I like this idea as well! Makes you really think about who and where you want those abilities to be …adding more strategy into the game.. I think X factors should go away also They just don’t make sense

Yes it’s ridiculous that literally every single player on the field can have 2 abilities minimum.. and it’s not just like BS abilities like recuperation or something.. they are all game changing KOs or route abilities.. Golden tickets are gunna have like 3 0ap abilities at this rate..

I heard matchup nightmare cancels out KOs do not know for sure tho
