New fatigue penalty for certain players

The way I read it, weight shouldn't matter for LBs, especially if they're 90 FMV. Acting like this is expected behavior, or acceptable, is silly, IMO. And, if you have them as RDEs they're dedicated pass rushers. So it really doesn't make sense.

It's affecting light DEs too. So it does seem to come down to weight only. I hope they fix this. I'm all for DBs taking a hit for blitzing constantly, it would fix a lot of annoyance in the game (though, it'll probably just make 6-1 even more common), but to handicap LBs and DEs in the RDE spots, as well as instances where the DB isn't even blitzing, is nuts. I wonder if Derrick Henry fatigues tacklers like crazy... this could have broken all sorts of shit we haven't even noticed yet.

I guess you missed the part where the fatigue shouldn't apply to edge rushers? or if you meet the power/finesse move threshold then fatigue shouldn't apply? olb with pass rushing archetypes and only pass rushing abilities shouldn't be affected at all. must not have comprehened that part that was specified.

The way I read it is they have to have "FMV" AND "Power Move" below a 70 rating. The 90 number was that if they are 90 pounds lighter than the player blocking them... So if this is true, it should rarely affect LB's... You would have to hit all three of those things... It should really just affect DBs... The way this thread is reading, is if you hit ANY of those three things it fatigues you...

No need to be a passive aggressive prick, must come naturally. Nowhere was anything about edge rushers or archetypes mentioned. They said dedicated rushers, but that could very well mean DE and DT, as they're the only ppl on the field that typically rush every down. The weight and pass rush move thresholds must act independently of each other, as I've had (and stated in an above post) ZERO issues with Rashan Gary or Clay Matthews, but I have with Ted Hendricks. The wording is funny (maybe purposely so) and, again as I have stated above, in the very post you quoted, I have no idea if this is what they intended, but it's what we have. Naturally people are gonna complain, cause that's what people do, but maybe just adjust instead. The tools are available to counteract this. Use them.

Penalize DBs? All for it, but fatiguing actual pass rushing LB after one or two plays is ridiculous

Yeah thats the part that is either getting lost in the shuffle or not enough people have noticed yet. Even IF you agreed with the tweak they were TRYING to make (I definitely DONT) they STILL messed it up. It basically makes any lighter defenders useless for anything other than coverage, not just DBs, undersized DEs and LBs too. Lol EA gonna EA.

Even after playing a solo battle I can see this sucks. Makes a lot of cards unusable simply because of their position or weight it would seem. Pass rush from dline is already bad it didn't need a nerf

Do you think it's realistic for Lawrence Taylor to have to sit for the entire half after rushing for one play? I don't think OP is talking about blitzing corners being fatigued he's talking about linebackers like LT and Micah who naturally rush the QB being just as fatigued as those DBs. This was not the intention of the patch and is just another showing of EA's ineptitude when it comes to coding these changes.

This change makes a ton of players useless now AND has a ton of weird consequences (see below). I don't understand why you're defending it so hard. There's no way this was intentional, it's just EA being incompetent.

Another data point: I played against Henry and my DBs tackling him were getting fatigued/subbed. This is asinine.

Buddy after literally one drive both your ends will sit out and not come back in due to fatigue, if you don't see that as an issue then I can't help you

I'm...defending...it (and I don't know if I'd use that word, but I AM ok with it) because I think that the game should be more realistic. I don't like arcade football. Guys being able to relentlessly rush all game long is not realistic. I love when stuff (weight/position) matters and things have consequences. The nerf to DB blitzing has been long overdue, and if that's ALL they were going for, cool, but I'm fine with LBers being lumped in as well. The tools to counteract this are in the game, ppl just don't wanna put Second Wind or Recuperation on defensive players. Well, that's on them.

And I still don't see it happening in the run game at all, even to my DBs. I have had Jaire get tired from blitzing, but none of my other DBs have been impacted whatsoever, and that obviously includes the run game.
