Yeah, I'm pretty sure their sole intention with fixing the glitched ass blitzes wasn't to help noobs.

Regulars are the ones who generate the most money for this game. I bet if you could see the profit models that they make far more money from the people consistently spending all year than people that just buy the game or that make like one or two MTXs.

Little Timmy (or 10,000 or even 100,000 Little Timmies) isn't/aren't the reason EA is worth 35 billion dollars. 

As long as they have multiple monopolies I really don't think they give a damn about whether the game is easy to play (especially vs other users) or not. You guys are so triggered that all you can do is blame EA. It's like you went on tilt and just never came back from it.

But also totally agree. The people in here saying they patch to attract newbies must not know any young people. Kids only get interested in Madden if they like football. They don’t need to make the game easier, the NFL gets more viewers for a SNF game than the NBA gets for a Finals game. The new customer pipeline is real football being the most popular thing in the USA, not how easy or hard the game is.

As a Buckeyes fan I'm ashamed to admit that it was def Eddie George. I was thinking Culpepper and I was like no that was 02. It was a titan, and I guess my mind was still on QBs hahaha.

There is a feature you can use to make your defense play the first down marker. It’s called protect the sticks and it’s a pre snap audible for ur defense. Lmao ur defense wont automatically play the first down marker like a real human, it’s a video game.

Does in no way shape or form change player's pursuit angles after there is a runner lol.  Just makes your DBs gravitate towards the marker, that's why it's a coverage adjustment.

Sry I didn’t see anything being said about pursuit angles. I just saw that players are not playing the first down marker, that’s why I said what I said. also if you click in on the right stick it will make your entire defense crash and play the run. Idk if that helps

01 was first yr I started as well, 02 and 04 were my favorite Maddens of all time

It does reset all zones to default. I really liked 03, 04, and 05. I was also playing NFL 2k and NFL Gameday at that time. 

My first football game ever was NFL QB Club 96 on Sega Genesis.

I think a lot of people just fail to appreciate how far the genre and video games as a whole have come. Maybe I'm just getting old but whatever. Haha

It will reset to stock if you adjust your drop zones and then play the sticks. But for that play your defense will play the first down marker more aggressively and drop back to that point and keep everything in front of them which causes your drop zones to reset. I’m not sure if you thought that feature was just to reset zones but it’s actual purpose is what I was saying above. Can be used for both I guess

So starting with Madden 20 our LBs can't jump unless you put Lurker on them... but they still may not catch the ball (until this year's Lurk Artist).  DBs drop so many balls it's mind numbing.  Over the years the game has been tuned to reward Aggressive face catching... low point throws... high point throws... and whatever it takes to make offense easier and defense damn near impossible.  On current gen... usering feels frustratingly sluggish and in this year's game, receivers seem to catch almost anything thrown their way (assuming of course you have Gift Wrapped on your QB).  On top of all that... the least skillful offensive scheme (designed around all the different RPOs) has made bums feel like they're MUT gods.  Quick hiking became a thing until the pro players complained about it.  And when the meta defenses evolved with effective loop blitzes... well EA fixed that with their last patch.  They don't want little Timmy getting discouraged and quitting - they want him to keep playing and bugging mom for the credit card.    

Be wary of anyone who says "gameplay is better than ever"... or "just git gud"... they're probably not all that skilled at the game.  They like M24 because offense is easy.  The byproduct is that when two good players face off... the game literally hinges on getting one stop or a random diceroll turnover and most games end up as high scoring shootouts.

You’re right. Since nobody else is going to say it. I’ve competed in MCS for the last 5 years and have ran defense exclusively in squads since regular team play was a thing before they brought it back in Mut form. I have always been able to scheme up and run a lock down defense, every year. This year has to be the hardest ever and it’s not even user error, it’s game error. I can run all madden seasons, or make it to the superbowl in squads where the cpu difficulty scales back to all madden like it has for years in any comp play. this year them having it on all pro is what has offense broken. You can literally have a 80 overall left tackle giving a 90 overall defensive end the business because the all pro difficulty favors the offense, not the D. the reason we have to have gift wrapped on our QBs and Pick artist on our DBs is 100% the problem stemming from EA making the difficulty all pro. Make it to the Super Bowl or play all madden seasons and you don’t need any of that crap because the guy that’s throwing 40 yard bench routes and running rpos every play is going to pay for it because the cpu defenses will actually play like they are a 90+ overall corner Or Saftey and cover it and not drop a wide open interception. I have found the best way to enjoy squads atleast this year is to run 3s instead of duos Because atleast there are 3/11 players on the field that will catch the ball if it hits their hands, and 3 people with brains can take away all the offensive exploits. This is BY FAR the most pass heavy madden in years. If the best defensive players in the world are giving up 30+ points a game when they were known for pitching shutouts in past years then there is no need to explain to people that feel like they are amazing at the game putting up 30+ points a game against a completely broken defense AI. This year rewards the newcomers, and makes the vets pull their hair out. You can call the right formation, the right play, the right personnel, and even commit to the right thing and the defense can still get torched due to how heavily all pro favors the offense and penalizes the defense. Those same guys saying “get good” aren’t playing in all madden seasons and probably lose every superbowl they make it to because the defense is viable.

Gonna have to throw this on Kurt. I pulled him from the 82+ along with marvin. Sold the Marvin and hung onto Kurt just cause I’m a nms and I didn’t like Fields.
