Do you know what fearless does? Even with 99 TUP you get accuracy penalties under pressure....I assume you weren't aware of that?

Has nothing to do with taking risks...and besides,  anowhere thing you may not knew.  Fearless only works with set feet in the pocket... so not sure what risks you'd be talking about

When you have 99 THP SFL isn't going to do much of anything.  You say you test these things., maybe you do,  but  from what you wrote about barely playing online,  I an guessing you did your teating only against the CPU. LRD is a waste of AP....and if you need that then I assume you're taking the risks.  I don't really miss deep throws,  especially with precision passing. Do you use precision passing? Helps a lot

FYI, Huddle.gg rates Fearless as one.of the top abilities in Madden and LRD as one of the worst (bronze tier).

And they're not the only ones. Any Madden school type websites will say the same

Again not knocking how you play or what abilities you like but dude don't say that the best ability in the game isn't needed and  one of the worst is amazing and necessary.

Translation: I dropped ~$2k on the best card in the game and he’s incredible.

Played a kid with him (in MVP division) and held him to 7 pts, picked him off 5 times. 

Not very impressive for the over 5m price tag if you ask me……………

Go play him in h2h 5 times.... in the hands of a semi- decent player that card will rip you apart. With the right chem, strat card, and abilities, he has the fastest release that's ever been in any Madden game ever...and yes I have played them all. Since year 1.  99 throw power. Fastest release in the game. Fearless ability so flawless under pressure (97 TUP anyway). No way you hold a decent player down in H2h who has Elway at QB. How can it add more if he’s already at 99?

SFL shouldn't do much if you have this THP boosted. Min has 99 THP so SFL can't really make his passes have any more velocity....but gunslinger for 1 AP does speed up an already fast release even more.  You don't need LRD. he has the best DAC in the game.

HRM and fearless are an insane combination on Elway.

THP is how many yards they can throw it. Nothing to do with velocity. You need SFL to increase the velocity.

Honestly not trying to be rude or combative here. It’s obvious you are pretty excited about Elway and I know I would be too if I could get him. To say that Elway has the fastest release ever in Madden is a pretty bold statement. According to JDawg’s testing Gunslinger 1 release was actually faster in 22.

Mut 22 average: 0.797

Mut 23 average: 0.985

I understand if the new passing mechanic makes it feel like a better release or maybe with how unbalanced things are with Elway against our current top defensive players. Once the defenses get faster and react quicker maybe it will balance things out and his release will feel like Slinger 1 typically feels.

That is incorrect.  According to EA, THP is both ball speed and distance.  SFL doesn't add much velocity, I tried it.  Would rather use HRM, fearless,.

JDawg isn't the only one doing frame by frame analysis,  there are others that show the average at 0.835. Still very fast. But not just avg release, I look at release on short throws and windup time on deep throws and Elway doesn't seem to have as much of a  windup as Bledsoe did

But I did like Blessoe's release . I tried McNair. Just to check it out and honestly Bledsoe.felt a lot.better than McNair , sold him back. Was.gonna sell anyway because I'm sticking w Elway. But I don't eanna argue either.  We can agree to disagree bro. Sorry for any salty comments

You either have to get lucky and pull it or buy in the AH. It's a legendary card, not a Legend strat (meaning it's not a card that boosts all Legends).... there are 2 of them...Let it rip and In the zone...with some variants in the secondary boosts.

Of course we’re good man! No need to apologize, you‘d have to dig pretty deep to offend me. Mut.GG is my only source for MUT info and they use JDawg’s analysis for QB release so I haven‘t seen any other analysis. Obviously I don’t have the card so I can’t make my own judgement.

I’m not sure we really have a disagreement, I just thought maybe you were reaching by saying Elway has the best release ever in Madden. Certainly Elway has the best release in 23 and I would expect him to have a better release than Bledsoe and McNair as neither of them have Slinger1.

I agree that there is more to evaluate than just avg release time. Release speed/wind-ups are different when throwing on the run as well as short and deep throws. Hopefully I can get Elway sometime in the next month or so and shred some defenses with him.
