Was man coverage nerfed

Before I was able to play man coverage and play well, of course the occasional drag and corner beats you. But right now (as my team is much better and faster) any cross route and anything over the middle is wide open. way more open than ever this season so far this year. And im not even playing against the fastest receivers it’s anyone

Yes and it was booty to start with so it made it worse and i did not think that was possible but Def in 24 is nothing but Pure sheetz

Literally defense is pointless at this point, players play dumb in zone and can’t cover in man even with 97 MCV with boosts. Doesn’t make sense lol.

haven't noticed a difference, man has always been horrible unless you shade correctly everytime.. but when people shade me right I still get bagged in man

man coverage should be trash in my opinion, trashcans being able to call 1 nickle or dime man defense press and have your QB be innaccurrate is garbage, that's not competitive at all. to me man coverage shouldn't work unless you guess every route. if you man them up manually yeah but if you just calling man & shading nah, it should never work.

That’s just crazy just take the ability to play man out the game period. Wheel routes this year kill man from backs or receivers, come backs,  curls and zigs . You don’t want man to work but I’m sure you’re fine with 30 yard cloud flats and Deep zone KO’s which is not realistic at all.

and man is realistic? show me any team in the nfl with 3-4 legend level CB's & high speed safeties that can cover man, oh and lets not forget to add in 90 speed linebackers when they use em, but they don't because they are always in a pass defense that shouldn't play the run in the first place but magically does.

man coverage is trash for people who can't play the game, it's a crutch.

i'm okay with man working if you call it and assign it correctly personally, but not when people just call man and have it work for them. if you shade a certain way it should get torched the otherway as well.

30 yard flat is just the terminology in the game, it's no different than you putting a cb on a corner route and they cover it 20-30 feet down the field. you just don't like that it's called a flat, do if they called it a 30 yard deep blue you'd be fine with it? same exact thing.

Well you can say the same about zone. Your defense just sits in zone and the AI does everything for you and cornerbacks jump routes for you.

they have already had overpowered man coverage in years prior, you just get the field locked and blitz'd to death everyplay. you could literally shade everyone outside, then man up the linebackers & shade inside and you couldn't throw the ball anywhere. 

people who like it, know why they like it, because they aren't good, they want the CPU to do all the work for them, I don't know what game you play but zones far from jump routes for you in this game. defense is about as broke as it gets on both sides. 

and it has to be because people abused nano blitz techniques for years. you don't want man to work, you wouldn't be able to play the game, you'd be locked everytime you hike the ball and sacked immediately.

That’s my point it’s not realistic and neither is psychic zone cornerbacks breaking on routes they don’t see. If you cant score on someone who’s in man every play and you know there in man every play then your just not good enough. 
 

You obviously never played football there is  no coverage that is assigned to cover 30 yards of grass it’s much different than covering a corner route , I’m not even going to finish this conversation cause you don’t know what you’re talking about.

I can score on someone who's in man every play, it's pretty easy actually, that's the point of it being broken, as stated in the title.

you keep crying about coverage that covers 30 yards deep "oh there's no coverage that does this"....... there's no team that throws 30 yard corners everyplay either, it's a video game that had to be adjusted to cover things that were broken, people used to just load up & throw corners all day and there was nothing you could do about it, you must be new to madden, there are reason why things are the way they are. they had to make adjustments and bend the rules because scumbags exploited it and ruined the challenge of playing the game against people.

once again we know why you want man to work better...... so you can have this "REALISTIC" coverage where a cornerback covers perfectly the whole side of the field..... not happening my guy, no nano blitz/man blitz for you........ try again.

got news for you the guns in call of duty & fortnite don't shoot exactly like real life either, it's called a video game.

My whole point is it’s a video game man in this game isn’t realistic and neither is zone. at the end of the day nothing about ultimate team is realistic. man doesn’t need to be nerfed and neither does zone
