I prefer cover 2 formations but mix in some cover 3 as well. I also mix in some zone blitzes and make plenty of adjustments based on the opponent.

I switch between 4 users, both SubLb’s and both Slot CB’s.

I love how many formations you run, this, imo, takes actual skill.

I run Broncos now but previously I was Dolphins.  My scheme is mixing up defenses every play.  I basically have a man and zone play out of each formation.  3-4, 4-3, 4-4, Quarters 137, Dime 1-4, Nickle 3-3 Cub.  Alot of Cover 4 and Man One.  I have a couple Cover 3 and Man Zero.  I pretty much have given up on anything Cover 2.  I feel like you always need to matchup with what your opponent calls.  I used to just call a defensive play before my opponent but it helps to wait.  Then you just adust shading and your d line based on what their offensive play looks like.  I know when I come up against an opponent running the same thing over and over again I feast.  Sure they might get me the first couple times but once you figure them out it is an easy TD every drive.  I feel to be good you need to mix up coverages and looks to confuse your opponent and then they will make a mistake.  I also rotate my user, sometimes it is a MLB or Sublb, but I might go safety or even a defensvie end.  Im even starting to toy with usering the slot CB.

It’s all based on what the offense is doing. I want to have at least 2-3 plays in each formation that I’m comfortable with.

Some of the plays are very similar but give a different look or different personnel when you change formations.

I also prefer certain formations depending on where I’m at on the field.
