that‘s giving these sheep losers Gun Bunch and 6-1 advice?
I mean, you probably can find 1000 different YouTubers that have videos about it. I played probably 20 games last night. 90% of my games were nothing but that. Good thing is, you hit that 6-1 with a few consecutive RPO’s and most folks will quit.

So infuriating man. I can’t play any kind of H2H without seeing this like 5 games in a row

Damn you didn’t fall for the grade school zinger. I digress
FTR I don’t play defense as I exclusively play squads as offense. 61 is fun to play against, it’s funny to beat people out of it

Also it’s funny to think I’m a YouTube 😂
I definitely wouldn’t be mingling here punching down that’s for sure.

The process is almost always the same. Pros and competitive players will lab and figure out what is truly good, people will then attempt to copy the most skilled players in the world, often running poor imitations of these defenses (which trickles down through many, many YouTubers), or coming out with a base 6-1 and sending endless Cover 0 blitzes each and every down, only to hopefully force inexperienced players into making mistakes.
Learn to make a quick read to the flat, or a streak, be sure to have Secure Protectors on your offensive line, don't run quarterbacks with terrible releases -- the speed at which the ball comes out will have a direct correlation to how successful a player is in Comp MUT. Doug Williams is still far and away one of the best budget QBs, accessible to almost everyone, or will be on Sunday morning. Just a few random thoughts/ideas or suggestions for anyone struggling against this stuff.
6-1 is popular, because it's super simple to set up and incredibly versatile at both run and pass defense. Cover 4 Quarters, blitz all LBs, win. Mindless and anyone can do it, but fairly one-dimensional and will have soft areas you can exploit, especially over the middle of the field.

Always appreciate your analysis

I know. I’m just feeding into it

I'll quit out of any game when they run nothing but rpos the first drive.

Appreciate the kind words. I have a tendency to do a lot of ranting and raving, so any important bits may get lost in the shuffle. Not to mention, i simply ramble on... but SOOO many folks from this great community helped me out when i was getting started, i'm now on a mission to attempt to pay that forward, sharing some of the knowledge i've gained over the past ~15-16 months, or so. Glad you found something useful, if that is actually the case.
hate playing agasint this defence the immediate pressure is ridiculous. in the 6-1 defence slanting your d line inside causes instant pressure if they just patched slanting your d line i feel like the formation would be so still be great but way more fair.

You are wise. Apparently i'm a glutton for punishment. Even if, or especially when i'm losing, that's when i dig my heels in even more and refuse to give up. I'm not trying to sit here and pretend i never rage-quit, because it certainly happens all the darn time, but generally speaking, i'm far too stubborn to give up or quit, even if i'm outmatched. It's not fun to play against that RPO cheese, but often doing something as simple as coming out in Nickel/Dime (or any four down linemen sets), pinch your entire defense, shade down (underneath) and have a Hard Flat on the receiver side of that RPO cheese (perhaps even Man up your slot corner on the intended target) will be sufficient to stop these chumps in their tracks.
And few feelings are more gratifying than causing these one-play pussies to run away with their tail tucked between their legs. Maybe it's just me, but offense has become much more of a struggle, especially lately than defense. Starting the year it was unheard of to get a stop, or hold an opponent to a FG, every game was a shootout, but my the meta has shifted in 6 or 8 months.
All that being said, i've definitely come back from 21-0 deficits a small handful of times. And i'm also not above fighting fire with fire. I definitely ran an Emmitt Smith Angry Runs scheme supported by dual Vanguard TEs (Bo and Heath Miller) for a minute, so i could always be prepared to out-cheese the chumps. It simply stopped being fun, i couldn't imagine calling the same play over and over, but perhaps that's why i've never truly mastered any. Not easy, but certainly feasible to take away most RPOs these days, especially if you have a Flat Zone KO and/or Pick Artist out there.
