Oof, EA logic is fierce, but i believe (please correct me if i'm mistaken or way off base here, it was before i resumed my budding MUT career) back in the day (2019-20ish? era) there was a Ryan Shazier card that totally changed the entire game of Madden, i believe that was the sole reason they ultimately removed the ability for linebackers to defend in pass coverage, i heard he was just leaping up and snatching everything that came within twenty yards of him.
I missed it, so hopefully someone will understand the reference and try to help fill in the gaps, but it sounded fairly legendary.
Shazier was the most op card on defense I ever used. He used to catch anything his way and there were so many complaints about his card. There was nothing ea could do to tone down his card because unlike Dickerson, shazier didn't have an x factor to take away. The next madden lbs stopped jumping period and as of this madden you need abilities for players to do anything remotely right.
