I don’t see the companion app as some nefarious space where people are making back alley deals. To me it just helps me obsess over my team while I’m not at home. I check in when I have time at work for players I want and make purchases on the auction block. The binder part of the app has been down for a significant amount of time so it’s not even fully useful you can only purchase off the block not place any players on the block or set prices. You also cant place new players as starters which is useful when the app works fully.

This.
And what's up with the binder issue?? Glad I'm not alone on that one.
It's more for addicts and no lives then coin sellers.
though you didnt explain it well the auction house is full of bots this year, people set prices to buy under at "xxxx" amount and the bots will win everytime. I have noticed ZERO authentication notices this year and I have used the app from day one every year. Previous years were better at spotting the bots, this year it seems they gave up on authentication prompts due to bad bans in previous years, most noticeably the bots buy big items like the ray lewis before his price cap increase. Example: the bots were coded to buy at 2 mill (before price cap increase) and all they bought at 2 mill were then sold for 3-5 million after the price cap increase. EA has just given up this year on botting I think. Ruins big name cards for a lot of players.

its a mix, i know for a fact botting exists, denying that is crazy. I have known guys that do it, EA has to do better at spotting it and at the same time not banning incorrectly.

Thank you for explaining it better than I could :)

Ya like I used to snipe cards while in school. Now I can’t even snipe cards at home on my couch through my phone
The app is trash anyways I haven't been able to see my binder since the second week it was out.
Won’t even allow me to buy or sell it says I’m an invalid ultimate team player but I can access all of my cards and past sales.

You're maybe 25% right. Yes there is botting here and there, but it usually is snuffed out pretty quick because if EA is gonna be on top of anything its gonna be people gaining coins without spending money. What I'm assuming you're talking about is when you see really high OVR and expensive cards that are easily 200k or more sell for a couple thousand instantly. Those are offers created by EA to artificially inject supply into the market on certain cards so people can't make coins off them. Most of the time its just really lucky people who refreshed the filter at the perfect time that get the offers, but its rarely bots.

No I’m talking about bots that buy up stock before price increases, these bots are set up through the app through custom firmware (illegal)
